How it works

Four taps from "ugh, the yard" to done.

No phone tag and no "I'll come by and give you an estimate." You know the price before anyone shows up.

  1. Describe the job

    Pick a service and answer a couple of quick questions, like how big the yard is and whether you want debris hauled away.

  2. Add a photo or three

    Your pro sees the photos before taking the job, so nobody has to come out and give an estimate.

  3. See your price, pick a time

    You get a range and a not-to-exceed cap. Choose how soon, or pick a week up to 30 days out at the Flexible price, then morning (8–12) or afternoon (12–5). For Today / Tomorrow you skip that, and your pro picks which of the two days.

  4. Book your pro, then pay

    Check your recommended pro's reviews and the day they can come, then book them or ask for someone else. Your pro confirms, and the app shows the day, then on the way, started and done. You get an after photo and pay your pro directly. Next time, the same pro is recommended first.

Every booking comes with a hard cap. If the job turns out bigger than the photos showed, your pro has to ask you first.

How do you know the price without seeing my yard?

Your answers (yard size, extras like haul-away) and your photos are enough for a range. Your pro confirms a price inside your range when they start, and it never goes above the cap without your OK.

What if the job is bigger than I thought?

Your pro can propose a new price with a reason. You'll get it in the app to approve or decline. If you decline, the job goes ahead at the top of your original range.

How do you pick the pro?

We recommend a pro who covers your ZIP and does that job, starting with the earliest day they can come in your window, then their reviews. New pros get some recommendations too, marked "New on MyYardPro" until they have a few reviews. Tap the pro to read every review on their page. Not the right fit? Ask for someone else. A recommendation isn't a guarantee: the pros are independent, and you choose whether to book them.

What if the pro I book can't do it?

Your pro confirms in the app. If they pass or don't answer in time, we recommend the next pro and you choose whether to book them. When there's nobody left to recommend, the job is open to the other local pros who cover your ZIP. If no pro has it after 24 daytime hours (Flexible), 4 (Soon) or 1 (Today / Tomorrow), our team steps in to find a pro. Daytime is 8 AM to 8 PM, so a request made in the evening is counted from the next morning. For a week you picked, it goes to the team no sooner than 3 days before that week starts. If it's still open when your window ends (7 days, 48 hours, the end of tomorrow, or the end of the week you picked), the request ends and nothing is owed.

Can I get the same pro next time?

Yes. Once you've paid, your job and the Book tab offer "Book Dana again" (with your pro's name). The same job, photos and address come back filled in. The photos are marked "from last time", so add a new one if the yard looks different. Then pick when: Flexible, Soon, Today / Tomorrow, or a week up to 30 days out. Your pro is recommended first. Book them and only they can see it for 4 daytime hours (Flexible), 1 (Soon, Today / Tomorrow) or 12 for a later week, or until they pass. Daytime is 8 AM to 8 PM, so a hold that starts in the evening carries on the next morning. If they pass, we recommend another local pro.

About 21 days after a leaf cleanup, mow, weeding, hedge trim or yard cleanup, the Book tab asks "Due again?" with a button to book the same pro.

When and how do I pay?

After the work is done. You'll see the final price and an after photo, then you pay your pro directly. Each pro chooses which methods they accept from cash, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal and card, so not every pro takes all of them. MyYardPro never handles the money.

Is there a booking fee?

Not while we launch: you pay your pro the job's price and nothing to us. Once booking is busy, we'll add a small booking fee, shared with the pros so neither side carries it alone, and far less than other yard apps charge. It'll always be in the price you see before you confirm, and we'll tell you at least 30 days before it starts.

Do I need to buy anything?

Only for mulch installs: you buy the mulch and your pro spreads it. Everything else is labor and equipment, which your pro brings.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before your pro is on the way, and nothing is owed. If your pro reports they couldn't get in, you can also cancel at no charge while that report is open, even after they were on the way.

What if my pro can't get in?

Your job page says so ("Dana couldn't get in") and shows what you can do: call or text your pro, add a gate code or a note, or cancel with nothing owed. Your pro can pick another day to come back (later the same day, within your window, or up to 7 days after the first day) or hand the job back to other pros. If they pick a new day, your job page shows it. Nothing is owed until the work is done. It's on MyYardPro's team list too.

Who does the work?

Local, independent landscaping pros in your area. We recommend one with their reviews, and you choose whether to book them. MyYardPro doesn't do the work or employ the pros. If you run a crew and want jobs like these, head to yardwork.pro.
